I grew up on Long Island, went to medical school in New York City, married a doctor, and have three kids. Sound familiar?
After graduating from New York University with a degree in psychology, I continued my medical education at New York Medical College, where I met my husband, Michael Sergi. I stayed in the city for my residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, followed by a three-year neonatology fellowship where I specialized in the care of premature and critically ill infants. Although I infinitely value my specialty training, I love being part of a pediatric practice where I can watch those tiny babies grow into thriving adults—and especially enjoy helping medically complex patients and their parents navigate their unique journeys.
Michael and I moved to the New Haven area in 2007 so that he could continue his training in vascular surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital—and then, moved a bit closer to my beloved New York, settling in Easton, Connecticut with our three precious boys: Luke, Liam, and Gabriel. They have made me a better pediatrician and person, and you can often find me playing, watching, and discussing all things sports with them and their dog-sister, Gilly—as well as searching for the perfect Peloton ride (and fangirling Jenn Sherman!).
