Ever since I was a child, I knew I wanted to help improve the lives of others – and in particular, become a physician.
After high school, I left my hometown on eastern Long Island for Fairfield University, where I graduated as valedictorian with a degree in Biology. Throughout my college years and after graduating from Fairfield, I performed laboratory and clinical oncology research.
From there, I enrolled at another Jesuit institution, Loyola University’s Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. It was at Loyola where my passion for working with children began to flourish – and where I met my husband, Curtis (who also happens to be a Fairfield University alum). A few years later, I moved back to New York for my pediatric residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Following my residency, while my husband completed his fellowship training (that’s right…we’re 4-for-4 doctor couples here at Saugatuck Pediatrics!), I worked as a neonatal and pediatric hospitalist. I then transitioned to outpatient medicine as a pediatrician for the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, working with an underserved patient population.
After many years of living in New York, my husband and I decided to return to Fairfield, a community we have both loved since our college years. On any given day, you can find me strolling or biking around our beach neighborhood with our three boys: Nolan, Aidan, and our newest arrival, Liam. My weekends are spent watching my kids play sports and traveling (that is, when our sports schedules allow!).
I am so grateful to join this warm, family-centered practice, and look forward to many years of caring for and watching your children grow.
