Some kids dream of going to the moon or becoming a rockstar. But ever since I was eight years old, I knew I wanted to be a pediatrician (and not just because I was—and still am!—afraid of heights and large crowds).
Ten years after deciding I wanted to become a doctor, I left my home on Long Island for Brown University in Providence, RI, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Neurobiology. I then returned to New York to attend Cornell University Medical College in Manhattan, where I met my husband, David.
While David finished up his radiology residency at Cornell, I headed uptown for my pediatrics residency at Babies Hospital of Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, where I was chosen to complete a fourth Chief Residency year managing 54 pediatric residents and a large inpatient service. My first daughter, Sarah, was born that same year; Emily and Aaron arrived four and eight years later, respectively.
After practicing in Stamford, Wilton, and Weston, Connecticut, I opened up my first practice in Westport. Now, 50 years after first dreaming of becoming a pediatrician, I’m thrilled to welcome you to Saugatuck Pediatrics: a home-grown, small-town practice where I can provide a true medical home to my patients, and develop close relationships with their families.
When I’m not caring for my patients, I love crafting, baking, antiquing, and hiking with my carrot obsessed dog, Milo. I’m also obsessed with ice cream, and can be found travelling the world for the best scoop of black raspberry chocolate chip.
